Job summary

Journey is seeking a licensed RN to lead the nursing team in our Kentucky facility. You’ll supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and uphold our model of holistic resident care.

Required: nursing degree, unrestricted RN license, CPR certification; preferred experience in long-term care. We offer a supportive work environment, professional development, and a perfect attendance bonus.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs in alignment with regulations and facility policies.
• Promotes holistic care for residents using the nursing model.
• Ensures nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status, notifies physician and family and documents accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders as written.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
