Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as ordered.
• Perform specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and related procedures.
• Assist with wound care, splinting, and minor procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Monitor patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.
• Maintain infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as ordered
• Perform specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice
• Assist with wound care, splinting, suture removal, and other minor procedures
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Monitor patient flow to promote efficient clinic operations
• Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards
• Maintain medical supplies and assist with inventory management
• Support both urgent care and primary care workflows based on daily clinic needs
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in urgent care, family practice, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred
• Experience with phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
