The community you’ll be caring for:

Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando

Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America

AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country

The role you’ll contribute:

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs routine duties in caring for specific age groups (may include neonate to geriatric). Approaches patient care using the nursing process of planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with patients and staff.

• Collaborates with RN, makes appropriate nursing decisions, and interventions. Interprets diagnostic data relative to patient age and condition. Recognizes and reports problems.
• Supervises other healthcare team members in the clinical environment. Assists with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate PPE use, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Adheres to infection control practices.
• Participates in practice improvements based on performance activities. Supports quality standards and initiatives. Adheres to all policies and procedures.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Successful completion of state-recognized LPN training.
• Successfully pass LPN Orientation Test.
• Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as an LPN.
• BLS Certification.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the clinical setting related to area of specialty.
• Successful completion of a 30-hour IV therapy course recognized by the state.
