Job summary

Forefront Dermatology in Omaha, NE seeks an LPN to support physicians in a busy dermatology clinic. You will assist with patient care, procedure prep, and post-operative follow-up, ensuring accurate documentation in EMR/EHR and the patient portal.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons and physician assistants to obtain authorizations and consents.
• Document patient progress with pre- and post-procedure photos or 3D images; upload to EMR/EHR and patient portal.
• Follow up with patients post-operatively.
• Perform suture and drain removals as instructed.
• Triage calls, document concerns, facilitate appointments, and address questions promptly.
• Coordinate scheduling of cosmetic and insurance minor procedures; assist surgeons during procedures as needed.
• Inventory management of implants, garments, injectables, and clinic supplies; ensure treatment rooms are stocked.

Overview

Assists physician(s) with patient care in order to maximize physician productivity. Maintains cleanliness and organization of clinic and exam rooms. Assists with stocking room supplies and maintaining clinic logs.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Collaborates with surgeons and physician assistants to ensure patient understands surgical procedures and policies and obtains all necessary authorizations and consents.
• Documents patient progress by taking pre- and post-procedure photographs or 3D-images, and uploads documentation into EMR/EHR and to patient portal.
• Proactively follows up with patients post-operatively.
• Performs suture and drain removal for post-operative patients as instructed.
• Triages patient calls, documents patient concerns and questions, facilitates appointments, and ensures questions/concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
• Coordinates scheduling of both cosmetic and insurance minor office procedures, and assists surgeons during procedures, if necessary.
• Inventory management- our nursing staff tracks and manages surgical implants, garments, injectables, and clinic supplies. Works with the team to ensure that all treatment rooms are stocked appropriately.
