Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our team across Stevens Point and Wausau clinics. This full-time role supports the dermatologist, rooms patients, and performs scribing, wound care, and basic procedures.

Travel between clinics is required, with standard hours Monday–Thursday 7:30a–5:00p and Friday 6:30a–2:30p. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, HSA with matching, PTO/holiday pay, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution, profit

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office preferred.
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Must possess organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing post op wound care to patients
• Drawing blood and suture removal
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as: surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, electrodessication and curettage, I&D, Mohs micrographic surgery, phototherapy, injections, Koh preps, Trichograms, Tzank preps, dermabrasion, patch testing, blue light

Overview

Summary: This position is essential during the patient visit, accompanying the dermatologist in the room and promoting a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists.

This is a full time position and will work:

Monday-Thursday 7:30a-5:00p

Friday 6:30a-2:30p

This position will work in Stevens Point and Wausau clinic locations

Essential Functions:

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information

Qualifications

Post High School education in a medical support field:

• Licensed Practical Nurse is required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
