Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Vicki V. Douglas Juvenile Center in Martinsburg, WV.

This full-time role (40 hours/week) runs Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm, in a correctional healthcare setting, providing hands-on nursing care under RN and medical staff supervision. Responsibilities include administering medications, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vitals, wound care, documentation, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted LPN license in state of practice.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred).
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.

Position Summary

As an LPN at our facility, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of RNs and medical providers. Some responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Assisting with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
• Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions
• Providing wound care and changing dressings
• Supporting documentation and care planning
• Promoting hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients
• Serving as a vital part of a multidiciplinary treatment team

What You’ll Need
