Job description

Licensed Practical Nurses will perform clinical duties ranging from entry‑level patient care to first‑line supervision. Responsibilities include administering medications, maintaining patient records, assisting in treatment and direct patient care, and providing fundamental physical and psychological nursing care to inmates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Nurses will also conduct initial and ongoing medical assessments, prescribe appropriate medication and mechanical measures, and assist in preparing or modifying medical treatment plans. All activities must adhere to the Virginia Department of Corrections standards, American Correctional Association standards of care, and department policies.

Pay Rate

$36 per hour

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred

• Current LPN license.
• IV certification within 90 days of employment.
