As an RN, you will direct the daily activities of the licensed practical nurse and CNAs, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, participate in admissions and transfers, and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status, notifies physician and family, and documents accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
