Job summary

Journey in West Virginia is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and CNAs within our care team. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and uphold facility policies while promoting holistic resident care.

The role requires nursing licensure and CPR certification; prior long-term care experience is preferred. You will collaborate with residents, families, and physicians to support quality outcomes

Qualifications

• RN with current, unrestricted license in the practicing state.
• Experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs according to policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic resident care.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status, notifies the physician and family or representative and documents accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
