Job summary

Journey in Morgantown, WV is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our care team in a residential setting. You will collaborate with a caring team to deliver resident-focused nursing care in accordance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
• Ensures policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel.
• Participates in admissions, discharges and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status and notifies physician and family, documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
