Job summary

Journey is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses for the 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. shift at Frederick Crossing. We offer full-time and part-time positions, with PRN opportunities on other shifts, and a $5/hr attendance bonus for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active LPN license in the practicing state.
• CPR certification required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of LPNs and CNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Promotes holistic care using the nursing model for residents.
• Ensure compliance with policies by nursing personnel.
• Participate in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assess changes in residents’ status and communicate with physician and family.
• Transcribe physician orders and carry out written orders.

Eligible full-time and part-time Care Team Members can earn an additional $5/hr attendance bonus for working their scheduled shifts. We also offer weekly pay with DailyPay available. The team can review the exact schedule and available PRN shifts during the interview.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistically care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
