Job summary

Rite of Passage is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Western Secure Treatment Unit in Emlenton, PA. The LPN will provide health care to youth, manage medical records, and support a trauma-informed care environment.

In this role, you will collaborate with staff to maintain health services, ensure safety, and educate students on health issues, first aid, and emergency procedures. Competitive pay and benefits apply after probation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license for the state of employment.
• Minimum of two years of medical services administration experience.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, drug screen, TB test, and physical.
• Ability to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• As the site Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be primarily responsible for the health care of the students and maintenance of all student medical files.
• You will educate staff and students on health issues, first aid, infectious control and emergency procedures.

Western Secure Treatment Unit (WSTU) is a secure post-adjudication facility that provides comprehensive services to young women (14-21), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender responsive model. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a vocational CTE student work training program, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities for the young men. Pay

$30.00 hour

What you will do:

As the site Licensed Practice Nurse, you will be primarily responsible for the health care of the students. In this role, you will maintain all student medical files and educate staff and students on health issues, first aid, infectious controls and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

• To be considered you should:
• Possess a High School diploma or equivalent
• Possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from the state in which employed
• Have a minimum of two years of previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC for pre-employment), physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Schedule

3 Days on, 2 Days off, 1 Day on, 1 Day Off (every other weekend off)
