Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a licensed practical nurse for full-time home health visits in Tennessee. Work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with competitive pay of $22.50 - $27.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license for the state(s) assigned.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify when condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review all medications and perform a medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g. Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
