Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Student Health Services at Wilce Student Health Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The LPN works with a multi-disciplinary team to provide primary and ambulatory care to students, obtaining visit reasons, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, administering injections, IV fluids, and documenting all information in the electronic health record.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am–5 pm.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an approved school of practical nursing.
• Current Ohio LPN licensure or eligibility to obtain before start date.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Workers certification or ability to obtain before start date.
• IV certification and experience with IV therapy.
• Experience with electronic health information management systems (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and ambulatory care to students as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Obtain patient visit reasons, document vital signs and clinical information.
• Assist providers with procedures and administer injections; manage IV fluids.
• Document all care in the electronic health record.
• Work hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
