Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Student Health Services seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering primary and ambulatory care to students. You will perform patient intake, vitals, charting in the EHR, and assist clinicians with procedures, injections, and IV therapy.

Must have an approved LPN program graduate status, Ohio license or eligibility, and BLS. Commitment to background checks and health screening is required; shift is 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an approved practical nursing program.
• Current Ohio LPN license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Worker certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• IV Certification and experience in clinical settings.
• Successful completion of background check and health screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and ambulatory care to students.
• Obtain patient reason for visit and monitor vital signs.
• Assist providers with procedures and administer injections.
• Administer IV fluids and document all information in the EHR.
