Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for full-time day shifts to support patients at home. Join one of the largest home health providers in the U.S. and deliver high-quality care with flexible scheduling and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include verifying plans of care, collaborating with RNs and physicians, teaching patients, and ensuring accurate documentation, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met; notify if patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
