Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our home health team in Florida. You will verify plans of care with the RN, support patients and families, and perform routine nursing duties during visits in Kissimmee, Orlando, and surrounding areas.

Eligible candidates hold an LPN license, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and have at least one year of clinical LPN experience. The role requires travel to patient homes with a focus on quality, safety, and compassionate

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met; notify if patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.

$33.82-$42.28 base rate/ pay per visit after orientation
