Job summary

Amedisys, a leading home health and hospice provider, is seeking a licensed practical nurse for full-time daytime visits in Augusta, ME. You will verify plans of care with RNs, collaborate with physicians, and teach patients self-care in the comfort of their homes.

This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and pay between $35.00 and $40.00 per hour, plus benefits like telehealth medical plans, PTO, a 401(k) match, and wellness rewards.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, state-specific.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver\'s license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to meet patient needs; notify them if condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
