Job summary

The State of Iowa, Department of Corrections, Anamosa State Penitentiary, invites applications for a Licensed Practical Nurse role. You will plan, implement, and evaluate health care for incarcerated individuals, following nursing procedures and documenting care.

Applicants must hold an Iowa LPN license (or a valid NLC license) with CPR and first aid certification; compact licenses require Iowa licensure within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse license (Iowa Board of Nursing).
• Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) licensure acceptable.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate health care for inmates.
• CPR and first aid competency required.

This would include following nursing procedures, conducting physical examination, providing CPR and first aid, and completing required documentation.

Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
