Job summary

TD&H Engineering seeks a full-time Professional Land Surveyor to join our Great Falls, MT team. The role involves conducting boundary, ALTA, topo, and construction surveys with GPS/robotic total stations, and preparing maps and reports for diverse projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Montana PLS license with 3+ years of experience, an associate degree in surveying, and strong skills in AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Carlson Survey, and Civil 3D. Driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Licensed PLS in Montana required or pending licensure with established plan to obtain licensure.
• 3+ years of experience as a licensed PLS preferred.
• Associate’s degree in surveying or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with surveying software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct boundary, cadastral, hydraulic, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys/staking for public and private projects.
• Perform fieldwork using GPS and robotic total stations to collect and analyze data.
• Prepare and review survey maps, legal descriptions, plats, and reports ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Process survey data using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and government agencies to support land development and construction.
• Review and verify survey calculations and mapping accuracy.
