Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Fairfield seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled therapeutic interventions and document patient progress within the electronic health record. The role may involve outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations as part of comprehensive care.

You will implement established treatment plans, educate patients and families, and support the care team under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist and monitors response to treatment.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient’s progress.
• Maintains productivity while ensuring quality.
• Precepts students during internships and clinical experiences.
