Job summary

M2 HEALTHCARE LTD seeks a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in New York to provide skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist and in accordance with physician orders. Key duties include implementing and modifying treatment plans, monitoring patient responses, documenting treatments and progress, observing residents, and preparing progress reports.

NY PTA license in good standing, long-term care experience preferred, and strong interpersonal

Qualifications

• Must have an active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing in the state of NY.
• Long term care experience preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Physical Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s occupational therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.
