Qualifications

• Assist in evaluation procedures and planning treatment programs.
• Rule out contra-indications to treatment and recommend changes.
• Provide patient instruction for home exercises and use of devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing evaluation procedures and planning treatment programs.
• Rule out contra-indications to treatment and recommend necessary changes.
• Perform electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, traction and massage techniques according to procedures.
• Administer therapeutic exercises to improve posture, strength, ROM, coordination, endurance.
• Provide fitting and application of orthotic devices.
• Instruct patients in home program use of devices and procedures.
• Monitor treatment effects and modify techniques as needed.
• Document progress reports for patient records.
• Verbally report progress to Physical Therapist or physician as appropriate.
• Maintain professional demeanor and schedule appointments.
