The Staff Physical Therapists Assistant provides patient care assessment and treatment. Identify, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease/prevent deformity. Responsible for mentoring Therapists, Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities and facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.
Standing for most of the day, lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
