Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy.
• Demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches.
• Customer service skills for interacting with patients and families of diverse ages/backgrounds.
• Effective communication in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and documentation of results; explains evaluation findings and plans to patient and family.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and evolving care environment; consults with other professionals as needed; adjusts plan of care.
• Completes discharge planning and documents charges; maintains a clear picture of patient’s course including evaluations and progress summaries.
• Manages an accurate schedule and meets productivity expectations; ensures frictionless patient access to care with empathy.
• Serves as a clinical instructor to assign students and assists with orientation and mentoring of staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
