Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or related bodies.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in the principles and practices of physical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy assessments, diagnostic tests, skilled procedures, and ongoing evaluation for residents under a care plan.
• Implements teaching appropriate to residents' needs and environment.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of ongoing quality improvement processes.
• Promotes safety for residents and coworkers.
• Supervises applicable team members.
• Supervision of physical therapist assistants as directed.
• Evaluates employee performance and provides timely reviews as delegated.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.
