Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Home Health in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist for a PRN position. This is a part-time, per-visit role offering a flexible schedule in a compassionate care setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a Florida PT license, CPR certification, and have at least 1 year of experience. Pay is $51 per hour, with benefits typical of a PRN home health role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program approved by relevant associations.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Minimum one year of PT experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform PT assessments and diagnostic tests for residents.
• Implement treatment plans and educate residents.
• Assist in quality improvement processes.
• Promote safety for residents and staff.
• Supervise applicable team members and PT assistants as needed.
• Evaluate employee performance as delegated.
• Perform related duties as required.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in the principles and practices of physical therapy.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Performs physical therapy assessments, diagnostic tests, skilled procedures, and ongoing evaluation for residents who are receiving services under a medically approved Plan of Care.
• Implements teaching appropriate to the resident’s needs and within the context of his/her environment and value system.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the ongoing quality improvement process.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for residents and coworkers.
• Supervises applicable team members.
• Supervision of physical therapist assistants as directed and according to department policy
• Evaluates employee performance and provides timely reviews as delegated.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
