Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Home Health, part of Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS), seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist for PRN opportunities in Cape Coral, FL. The role supports resident care within a VOANS community and emphasizes compassionate, mission-driven service.

Responsibilities include PT assessments, care-plan implementation, quality improvement participation, and supervising therapy staff as needed. Competitive pay per visit and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or related accrediting bodies.
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in the principles and practices of physical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy assessments and ongoing evaluation for residents.
• Implements teaching appropriate to the resident’s needs and environment.
• Assist in development, implementation and evaluation of the quality improvement process.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for residents and coworkers.
• Supervises applicable team members.
• Supervision of physical therapist assistants as directed and according to department policy
• Evaluates employee performance and provides timely reviews as delegated.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
