Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Skilled Nursing in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our VOANS family. This role provides patient-focused care in a compassionate, team-oriented environment, with a schedule Monday through Friday 8am–5pm and some weekends as required.

You’ll perform assessments, coordinate with caregivers, and contribute to quality improvement while supporting residents’ independence and well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program approved by relevant associations.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist license.
• Minimum one year of PT experience.
• CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in the principles and practices of physical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy assessments, diagnostic tests, skilled procedures, and ongoing evaluation under a medically approved Plan of Care.
• Implements teaching appropriate to residents’ needs within their environment and value system.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of the ongoing quality improvement process.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for residents and coworkers.
• Supervises applicable team members.
• Supervision of physical therapy assistants as directed and according to department policy.
• Evaluates employee performance and provides timely reviews as delegated.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.

Pay Range: $40.50 - $53.00

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-5p (Some weekends will be required.)

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in the principles and practices of physical therapy.
