Job summary

The Roads Home Health Care in South Florida is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled PT services to patients in their homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Both full-time and per diem opportunities are available.

You will guide patients through therapeutic exercises, document visits, and ensure infection control. Must have an accredited PTA program completion, valid state license, CPR, and a valid driver’s license to travel between patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current, valid state PTA license.
• One year of PTA experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification and Hepatitis profile.
• Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services to patients in their homes.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training.
• Teach patients and caregivers with strong communication skills.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation for each patient visit.
• Apply infection control practices during all patient care activities.
• Accept clinical assignments consistent with training and competency.
• Participate in continuing education and in‑service training programs.
• Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Support patients through gait training and mobility activities during each home visit.

About the Role

The Roads Home Health Care is looking for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled physical therapy services to patients of all ages in their homes across South Florida, working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on clinician who wants to build real relationships with patients and see the direct impact of home health care. Both full‑time and per diem opportunities are available.

• Perform physical therapy treatment services as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and treatment techniques to support recovery and mobility
• Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to teach patients and family caregivers
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation for each patient visit
• Apply infection control practices and standard precautions during all patient care activities
• Accept clinical assignments consistent with your training, education, and competency level
• Participate in required continuing education and in‑service training programs
• Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Support patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility activities during each home visit

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
• Current, valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• One year of experience as a PTA preferred
• Current CPR certification and Hepatitis profile
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto liability insurance

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and a warm, professional bedside manner
• Ability to work flexible schedules and travel locally between patient homes
• Comfortable managing physical demands including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing or walking
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for hands‑on treatment
• Ability to stay organized and meet patient care deadlines independently
• Genuine commitment to supporting patients' physical therapy goals with patience and encouragement
• Prior home health experience a plus
• Bilingual candidates a plus
