Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Metairie, LA is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in a small to mid-size skilled nursing facility. This part-time opportunity offers 20–30 hours per week with a competitive hourly wage of $30–$36, and potential to grow into a full-time role as we expand.

You will support physical therapists with patient care, documentation, and collaborative care, gaining experience across settings and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems; able to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Implement treatment plans and provide direct patient care including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Treatment and Education: Monitor progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
