Job summary

HealthPro Heritage in Kenner, LA seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for a full-time or part-time position at our highly-rated assisted living facility Inspired Living of Kenner. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, provide direct patient care, and collaborate with therapists and staff to achieve positive outcomes while documenting progress and educating patients and families.

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
• Strong assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
• Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
• Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols.
• Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.

• Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
