Pay Rate: $28–$38 per hour (based on experience)
Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide exceptional therapy services that help residents improve mobility, restore function, and achieve their highest level of independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and other treatment interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitor resident progress and accurately document treatments, responses, and outcomes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate resident progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Ensure resident safety by following established infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked therapy department.
- Inspect therapy equipment and promptly report malfunctioning or unsafe equipment.
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to OSHA and facility safety standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and excellent customer service when interacting with residents, families, and team members.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to resident-centered care planning.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for providing exceptional resident-centered care.
