Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Phlebotomist II to join our team. You will work Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM with rotational weekends, collecting specimens, verifying orders, and supporting patient care with precise data entry.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify test orders using lab technology systems and client information.
• Navigate computer systems to enter data accurately.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies.
