Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Yuba City, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist I for Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekends. State phlebotomy license required; NHA licenses not accepted in CA, WA, NV.

Salary range $21.80–$23.75 per hour with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include specimen collection, orders verification, data entry, and complying with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred and required in CA, NV, WA.
• One year phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment is preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain ID and enter billing information; collect payments per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient tasks: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
