Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations and ensure accuracy in medication handling.

Responsibilities include stocking, packaging, and processing prescriptions while maintaining compliance with pharmacy policies. Experience with narcotics handling is a plus, and candidates should be detail oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• AL Pharmacy Technician registration is required.
• Certified AL Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must be reliable and able to execute multiple tasks.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform light lifting.
• Ability to work independently, accurately and efficiently.
• Computer literate with knowledge of LTC frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Able to work under the direction of a supervisor.
• Experience working in a Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room is a plus.
• Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications.
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls.
• Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications.
• Package fill and ship medications.
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
• Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor.
