Job summary

Sun Life Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist Float to support our community pharmacy locations. You will review and dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe, effective care across sites.

You will travel between Sun Life sites to provide coverage, with hourly pay plus mileage reimbursement and opportunities to contribute to medication safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. or PharmD.
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Arizona License.
• Strong communication, patient counseling, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel between Sun Life sites.

Responsibilities

• Review and dispense prescriptions accurately, including controlled substances.
• Evaluate medications for appropriate dosing, allergies, interactions, and duplicate therapies.
• Counsel patients and answer medication questions.
• Collaborate with providers to resolve prescription concerns and recommend appropriate, cost-effective alternatives.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, supervise pharmacy technicians, and support staff training.
• Maintain medication inventory, storage, required records, and pharmacy equipment.
• Provide pharmacy coverage at assigned Sun Life locations and assist with pharmacy leadership duties as needed.
