Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a License Pharmacist to join our team serving long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The role focuses on evaluating orders, ensuring correct dispensing, and coordinating with nursing staff and physicians.

You must hold an active New Jersey pharmacist license and have strong analytical and detail-oriented skills. Prior long-term care experience is preferred, and you will work 4:00pm to closing, Monday through Friday with rotating

Qualifications

• Active NJ Pharmacist license required.
• Experience in Long-Term Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication questions.
• Supervise preparation of medicines.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispense medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.

License Pharmacist Requirements

• Active Pharmacist with NJ Board of Pharmacy a must
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system
• PLUS Full Time-Hours: 4:00pm-Closing (Monday through Friday/rotating weekends)
