Job summary

The Derek Stein Agency in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Insurance Account Manager to join our Personal Lines team. You will manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, process policy changes, renewals, and work with sales to support new business opportunities.

Ideal candidate has an active Michigan Property & Casualty license, 2+ years in personal lines, strong knowledge of auto/homeowners/renters/umbrella, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Property & Casualty License is REQUIRED.
• 2+ years of experience in personal lines account management, underwriting, or a related insurance client service role.
• Experience working with carrier quoting platforms and agency management systems.
• Strong knowledge of personal insurance products, including auto, homeowners, renters, and umbrella policies.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with multiple computer systems and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service a portfolio of personal lines clients.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and billing inquiries.
• Quote and rate insurance policies accurately and efficiently.
• Partner with the sales team to support new business opportunities.
• Build lasting client relationships through proactive communication and outstanding service.
• Assess clients' evolving insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
• Contribute to client retention efforts by delivering a positive and professional customer experience.
