Job Summary and Qualifications

The Mental Health Professional II delivers exceptional, patient-focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, psycho-education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence-based interventions in individual, family, and group settings.

What you will do in this Role:

• Conduct psychoeducational and process groups (individual, group, family).
• Develop and review treatment plans regularly.
• Assess environment and patient safety, report/respond to safety issues or condition changes.
• Identify risk factors and interventions for patients with precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
• Complete assessments, notes, and documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for discharge planning and readiness assessment.
• Conduct post-discharge follow-up as needed.

Qualifications Needed:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 30 days of employment.
• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
