Job Summary

Reports to the team leader. The primary objective of this position is to demonstrate knowledge and skill in Respiratory Care, with an emphasis on critical care.

Education
  • Required: Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or graduation from an NBRC and AMA approved Respiratory Program meeting eligibility requirements for the NBRC Exam.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
Experience
  • Required: One (1) year of clinical experience as a respiratory therapist or clinical training from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of critical care experience as a registered therapist.
Position Requirements
  • Required: RRT certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care, Tennessee state license to practice respiratory care, and current AHA BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
Department Summary

The role requires understanding of respiratory therapy principles, proficiency with equipment, and skills in critical care and general patient assessment.
