Job summary

Little Steps 1, Inc in Rego Park, NY seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our caring team. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, and provide direct OT services across adults to improve independence and quality of life.

Work in a collaborative care setting with physicians and therapists; responsibilities include documenting progress, adjusting treatments, and educating patients and families on home programs while maintaining regulatory-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Active NY State OT license (OT/OTR).
• NBCOT certification required or eligible.
• Experience in adult rehabilitative OT settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sensory integration, ADLs, and therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients across relevant age groups and diagnoses.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and caregivers.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient-centered goal setting.
