Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care documentation.
• Licensing as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state; CE requirements.
• CPR certification as required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate updates to physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment for independence in ADLs.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.
• Report equipment problems to keep devices in good condition.
• Contribute to QA and rehab program development.
• Relate positively with residents, families, staff, and colleagues.
