Qualifications

• Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active.
• Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
• High school diploma, college degree, and/or wholesale/retail experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and an attention to detail required.
• Open shift availability required for full time positions.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Verifies Rx data entry, compares Rx to original Rx from the doctor and ensures accuracy in the system.
• Delivers sales by providing excellent Member service in person and over the phone.
• Takes measurements, assists with correct frame selection for Rx power, and reads prescriptions on the lensometer.
• Explains procedures and maintains a friendly, professional demeanor with customers.
• Assists Optical Manager with opening/closing procedures and funds collection at point of service.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and supports Members with eyeglass adjustments and repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
