BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an optician who dispenses spectacles and optical products, advising patients on lens options and frame styles. You will work with prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed to work as an optician in the state.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail.
• Open shift availability for full-time positions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience with optical products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify Rx data entries against the doctor's prescription and file orders correctly.
• Provide in-person and phone sales with excellent member service and explain exam fees.
• Take measurements and ensure correct frame selection for Rx power.
• Read prescriptions on the lensometer and manage order progression in the system.
• Educate patients on lens options to meet visual needs and comfort.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and handle funds accurately.
