Role Overview

The Licensed Optician upholds our brand values and positions LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs. They create exceptional value by delivering legendary customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead with optical expertise.
4. Take and record measurements; adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
5. Assist with complex product needs and prescriptions.
6. Use technology accurately under time pressure; possess strong product knowledge.
7. Proactively identify issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
9. Achieve store KPIs and demonstrate core competencies.
10. Maintain store appearance and organization.
11. Report safety concerns; follow safe work practices.
12. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to learning and improvement.
13. Adhere to company policies regarding discounts, promotions, and inventory.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Experience in optical dispensing.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
• Openness to new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
