Responsibilities

• Interpret prescriptions written by ophthalmologists and optometrists.
• Take eye measurements (PD, seg height, base curve, width, thickness).
• Assist clients in selecting lenses and frames.
• Prepare orders for lab technicians to ensure correct lenses are produced.
• Adjust eyeglasses for proper fit and comfort.
• Educate clients on eyeglass and contact lens care.
