Job summary

For Eyes Chicago Ridge is seeking a licensed optician for a part-time role delivering expert eye care and high-quality eyewear. You will greet customers, perform accurate measurements, and help clients select frames and lenses while explaining options and pricing.

The position emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting. Daily duties include dispensing eyewear, updating prescriptions, and maintaining store standards and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• State Licensure as Optician
• Optical dispensing experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Familiarity with POS and iPad/tablet

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and explains service expectations with warmth and urgency.
• Custom fits glasses and accurately places prescription in lenses.
• Acts as a leader in optical knowledge and helps colleagues.
• Takes and records measurements, ensures eyewear meets standards and customer requirements.
• Attracts new customers and explores customer needs with open-ended questions.
• Maintains attention to detail, reads cues, and reviews prescriptions for special needs.
