EssilorLuxottica, supporting LensCrafters in New York, seeks an Licensed Optician to help clients with eyewear, fittings and prescriptions while delivering exceptional service. You will ensure accurate measurements, proper lens placement and maintain store standards in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure as an Optician.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales skills; ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Accurately and thoroughly use technology despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think and ensure customers are satisfied, expectations exceeded, and solutions delivered.
• Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
• Take pride in store appearance, help keep store clean, attractive and organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
