Job summary

America's Best in Paramus, NJ is seeking a General Manager to lead a busy optical store. You will drive sales, manage daily operations, and deliver exceptional patient and staff experiences.

You will coach a team, partner with the Doctor, oversee merchandising, budgeting, and compliance, and build strong associate relationships to achieve financial goals. This role offers growth opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience.
• Knowledge of the optical industry is preferred.
• ABO & NCLE certification required or in progress.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including staffing, inventory management, planning and enforcing policies.
• Lead, train, and develop associates through coaching and growth opportunities.
• Monitor store performance and guide associates to deliver outstanding customer and patient experiences.
• Partner with the Doctor to ensure every patient receives the highest level of care.
• Execute marketing, merchandising, and promotional initiatives according to brand standards.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top talent and manage schedules based on traffic.
